Global Growth Trust announces apartment development in Katy
Real estate investment trust Global Growth Trust announced that it will develop an estimated $32 million Class A, garden-style apartment community in Katy.
Aura Grand Corners will be developed through a joint venture with Trinsic Residential Group and is the fifth multi-family development the trust has undertaken in the past year.
"We continue to see opportunities for our investors in multifamily development, especially as a growing number of people find renting in high-quality communities such as Aura Grand Corners to be more attractive than homeownership," Andy Hyltin, Global Growth Trust president and CEO stated in a press release.
Located on 14.45 acres, Aura Grand Corners will be home to 291 units as part of the Grand Lakes master-planned community, which encompasses more than 1,250 acres.
The property that will be developed is at the northeast corner of Grand Parkway and Westpark Tollway.
Floor plans will be one, two and three bedrooms with an average size of 931 square feet. Residents will have access to a clubhouse, business center, fitness center, dog park, resort-style swimming pool and attached or detached garages.
