Pope John XXIII grad Costello contributes to SFA win

Pope John XXIII High School graduate Patrick Costello played for Stephen F. Austin State University in a 72-36 win at home over conference rival University of Central Arkansas on Thursday Feb. 7 at Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, the SFA website reported.

Costello helped the Lumberjacks improve to 19-2 on the season and 10-2 in the Southland Conference.

Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 at Nicholls State.

Costello is a freshman forward for Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a 2012 graduate of Pope John XXIII High School in Katy, where he scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds per game. Costello is from Houston.
