Pope John XXIII grad Costello contributes to SFA victory
Pope John XXIII High School graduate Patrick Costello played for Stephen F. Austin State University in a 77-67 win at home over conference rival Oral Roberts University on Saturday, Feb. 9 at Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, the team's website reported.
Costello helped the Lumberjacks improve to 20-2 on the season and 11-1 in the Southland Conference.
SFA's next game is 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 at Nicholls State.
Costello is a freshman forward for Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a 2012 graduate of Pope John XXIII High School in Katy, where he scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds per game. Costello is from Houston.
