Pope John XXIII grad Costello contributes to Stephen F. Austin State victory
Pope John XXIII High School graduate Patrick Costello played for Stephen F. Austin State University in a 63-51 win against conference rival Nicholls State University on Feb. 14 at Stopher Gym in Thibodaux, La., Stephen F. Austin State's website reported.
The freshman forward helped the Lumberjacks improve to 21-2 on the season and 12-1 in the Southland Conference.
Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 on the road against Southeastern Louisiana University.
Costello is a freshman forward for Stephen F. Austin State University and a 2012 graduate of Pope John XXIII High School in Katy, where he scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds per game. Costello is from Houston.
