Morton Ranch grad Foster leads Santa Clara to victory
Morton Ranch High School graduate Kevin Foster scored a game high 22 points to lead Santa Clara University to a 70-60 home victory over conference rival Pepperdine University on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Santa Clara, Calif.
Santa Clara's website reported the senior guardĀ also recorded four rebounds, three assists and one steal for the Broncos, who improved to 19-8 on the season and 7-5 in the West Coast Conference.
Santa Clara's next game is 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Gonzaga University.
Named one of Texas' top 30 recruits, Foster played at Morton Ranch for coach Corey Palmer in 2004-2008. His senior year (2007-2008) Foster was named MVP and All-District 18-5A First Team. He was also named All-District 18-5A Team and All-Greater Houston Second Team, both in junior year (2006-2007). He is the son of Rick and Gilda Foster.
