Morton Ranch grad Foster leads Santa Clara to victory

Morton Ranch High School graduate Kevin Foster led Santa Clara University with 20 points as the Broncos defeated conference rival University of Portland 75-63 on Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Chiles Center, Portland, Ore.

Santa Clara's website reported the senior guard also recorded six rebounds, seven assists and three steals for the Broncos, who improved to 20-9 on the season and 8-6 in the West Coast Conference.

Santa Clara's next game is 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at home against Loyola Marymount University.

Named one of Texas' top 30 recruits, Foster played at Morton Ranch for coach Corey Palmer in 2004-2008. His senior year (2007-2008) Foster was named MVP and All-District 18-5A  First Team. He was also named All-District 18-5A Team and All-Greater Houston Second Team, both in junior year (2006-2007). He is the son of Rick and Gilda Foster.
