Seven Lakes grad Russell plays in Pepperdine loss
Seven Lakes High School graduate Atif Russell scored four points in Pepperdine University's 87-48 home loss to conference rival Saint Mary's University on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, Calif., the Pepperdine website reported.
Russell also recorded three rebounds for the Waves, who are 12-16 on the season and 4-11 in the West Coast Conference.
Pepperdine's next game is noon Saturday, March 2 at San Diego.
Russell is a freshman guard for Pepperdine University. He is a 2012 graduate of Seven Lakes High School in Katy. Russell is from Katy and is the son of Leonard and LaDonna Russell.
